Benötige ich eine eigene Domain?

What do I need in order to be able to access my mailbox?

  1. Existing Internet connection.
  2. Internet browser (eg Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome), Microsoft Outlook, Entourage, Smartphone “ActiveSync”.

 

Welche Mobiltelefone können ActiveSync?

Apple:
Apple’s iPhone has been able to communicate natively with the Exchange Server via the built-in ActiveSync client since the 3G generation and the software version 2.0.

Android:
Das Android Betriebsystem für Mobiltelefone kann ebenfalls seit der Version 2.0 (“Eclair”) mit dem ActiveSync Protokoll umgehen. Eine Anleitung zum Einrichten finden Sie hier.

Motorola (sofern kein Android-Gerät):
The Android operating system for mobile phones can also handle version 2.0 (“Eclair”) with the ActiveSync protocol. Instructions for setting up can be found here.

Windows Mobile, Windows Phone:
Windows Mobile devices have been shipped with ActiveSync since the first release. With version 5.0, however, it has been extended to ActiveSync version 4, which makes synchronization faster.

Blackberry:
Blackberry synchronizes its emails with Exchange through a Blackberry server. This service is included in our Blackberry package (see Hosted Exchange / Prices).

 

The connection to the Hosted-Exchange-Server is done via the Internet. Is this safe?

Yes, the data is transferred exclusively via a secure and encrypted connection.

 

If I am away I may need to divert my messages to another e-mail address. Is that possible?

Yes, you simply need to enable the redirection option in Outlook WebApp.

 

How do i switch to Hosted Exchange with Netprofessionals?

  1. Simply fill out the order form in the section Hosted Exchange / order.
  2. Your mail accounts will be created on Hosted Exchange Mail Server.
  3. Update the MX record of a domain on the Hosted Exchange Server at Net Professionals.
  4. Configure your Mailclient (eg. Outlook) for the access to our Hosted Exchange Mailserver.

 

I want to switch to Hosted Exchange with NetProfessionals, will I lose my existing mailbox (mail, contacts, calendar)?

  1. If you do not currently use an Exchange Server (but POP3, for example):
  2. Set up your mail account according to the instructions of the Net Professionals Support Technicians.
  3. Import your existing mailbox according to this guide.

 

If you are already using Exchange Server:

  1. Export your existing mailbox from your Outlook according to this manual.
  2. Set up your mail account according to the instructions of the Net Professionals Support Technicians.
  3. Import your existing mailbox according to the instructions.

 

I have tested the Hosted Exchange at NetProfessionals and would like to order now. Will my mailbox with my e-mails, contacts and calendar still exist?
